Shirley Benjamin

Born in Advocate Harbour, Cumberland Co., in February, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Bernard and Ethel Elliott.

Shirley was a true homebody. She enjoyed cleaning and shopping. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandson, and taking care of her husband.

Survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Obrey Benjamin; children: Deborah Ann (Greg) McClean, Sandra Ann (Paul) Whitman, Wayne Aubrey Benjamin, David Tyler Benjamin and friend Kristy; five grandchildren; one great-grandson; brother, Gordon Elliott; and sister, Roseann Lamb.

Predeceased by her parents; nephew, Scott Elliott who died at a young age; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 23, 2014 from 1:00 - 2:00 pm in J.A. Snow Funeral Home with Funeral Service to follow at 2:00 pm in funeral home Chapel.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
