Shirley Ann Haley

Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of the late James and Ella (Cornelius) Haley.

Shirley worked at Dalhousie Payroll Department for 24 years. She was a member of Sheffield Baptist Church for many years and a former member of the Royal Canadian Legion Vimy Branch. She was an avid bowler with St. Mary’s and loved shopping. Her most beloved belongings were her families both home and church.

Shirley is survived by sisters Peggy (Rick) Glenn, Kathleen (Charlie) Slaunwhite, Gail (Billy) Grant, Joan (Jimmy) Stroud, Marylou Haley, AnnaMarie (Al Beaudry), Brenda Haley; brothers Douglas (Iona) Williams, Alan (Darlene) Williams, James Haley and Marty Haley, and several nieces, nephews and great-nephews, many aunts and uncles as well as many cousins.

Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Dr., Halifax (902) 455-0531 on Friday, April 20 from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Memorial service will be held at Sheffield Baptist Church, 80 Lincoln Cross Halifax on Saturday, April 21 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Children’s Wish Foundation.
