Susanne Sitland

It is with great sadness that the family of Susanne Sitland announces her passing on Thursday, August 31, 2017 at the age of 87 years old. She fought a brave and courageous battle and passes away peacefully with her daughter by her side.

Born on September 11, 1929 in Halifax, she was predeceased by her parents Angus (NuNu) Meade, Clara Harrit; her devoted and loving husband John (Jack) Sitland; beloved son Wayne; brother Mansel; sisters Marie, Jessie and Gladys.

Susanne will be forever remembered as a kind, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a cherished friend. Her heart was big and full of love and it gave her such joy in helping others. She had a feisty spirit and strong will that helped her fight through her tiring battle.

Susanne will be missed dearly by her adoring and devoted daughter Heather, (Greg Kaulback); her daughter in law Lynda; brother Gerald (Barbara) Meade; granddaughters, Miranda, Ellise, Rebecca; grandson, Jeffrey and her 10 great–grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers donation may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Visitation Wednesday September 6, 2017 from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 pm at JA Snow Funeral Home, Halifax. Service to be held Thursday, September 7 at 11 am JA Snow Funeral Home.
