A wonderful and caring man, Syd loved riding his motorcycle, spending the day fishing and, most of all, he loved his family.
Syd is survived by his wife, Debby (Perkins) Maskell; daughter Katie Maskell (Jeff); son Scott Maskell (Danielle); mother Marion Maskell ; father the late Sidney Maskell; sister Gale Maskell; brother Mike Maskell (Kim); mother-in-law Rosemarie Perkins; father-in-law William Perkins; brother-in-law the late Bill Perkins (Sally); brother-in-law Rick Perkins (Wendy); brother-in-law Steve Perkins (Kellie); nieces Amanda, Natasha, Kassidy, Ashley and Stephanie; and nephews Matthew, Patrick, Tyler, Will and Evan.
A memorial service, will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at 2pm at J.A. Snow Funeral Home (339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax, NS).
