

NOLAN, Terrance – of Halifax, passed away peacefully in hospital on July 16, 2012 after a lengthy illness. Born March of 1943 in Glace Bay, Cape Breton and was the son of the late Michael and Sarah (Moore) Nolan.
Terrance worked at the H.M.C.S. Dockyard for over 25 years until he retired in 1998 and was an active member of the Earl Francis Spryfield Memorial Legion Branch 152. His granddaughters were the love of his life and he will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his son Brent (Heather) Nolan of Timberlea; daughter Sarah (Stephen) Fraser of Williamswood; granddaughters Alexandra and Chelsea; ex-wife and friend Kathleen (Wade) Alfred of Halifax; sisters Ernestine (George) Penny of Halifax and Charlena of Ottawa; and brother Joseph (Emma) Nolan of Glace Bay; two grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, Terrance was predeceased by sisters Margaret, Christine, Etta, Anne and Carmella; and brothers Billy, John, Angus, Leo and Blaire.
Visitation will be held at J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Dr., Halifax on Thursday, July 19th from 2-4pm. Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday, July 20th at 2:00pm.
