Of Cole Harbour Nova Scotia passed away Saturday February 27th, 2016.
Born in Halifax Nova Scotia, she was the daughter of Peggy Hart-Billard and the late Clarence Robert “The Bob” Billard.
Val dedicated her life to youth and advocating for change. She loved learning which lead her to teach part time at Saint Mary’s University. She was always happiest helping others. Val believed that honesty and loyalty were of the highest importance. Like her father, she loved jokes, sarcasm and “telling it like it is”.
Val was a “Warrior Queen” who fought triple negative breast cancer and always wanted to promote awareness of this horrible disease. Landon and Val were an unbelievable force together. Landon was always at her side fighting with and for her, he was Val’s favorite person.
