Bro. Desmond, it was a huge shock to hear about the passing of your lovely wife.  Praying for you, the children and entire family during this difficult time.

So sad to hear this sad news. She was a special lady who I am happy to say was my friend. In recent times we didn’t communicate often but she was always in my prayers and I will miss knowing she is there.  RIP sweet lady! Condolences to her family and friends.🥲♥️

I fondly remember our last visits with her, along side my sisters, Darleen and Della. We went there to be of some comfort and encouragement to her, but we left feeling that she did that to us. Her love and zeal for life, tragically cut short because of this dreadful disease! She is sleeping peacefully now,  no more pain.  And we look forward to the time when we can welcome her back. 🩷 That is the comfort that  our Grand Heavenly Father, Jehovah gives…. And it is a guaranteed promise.

Vanessa was the best friend a person could ever ask for. She just had a way of making everything better and had a great sense of humor. Anyone a little broken was welcomed with open arms.  She was beautiful inside and out. She loved her children so very much and my heart aches for Ethan, Julien, Nandi and Lexi. Some of the best times of my life were spent with Vanessa. She was always up for an adventure. She was one of a kind and I miss her dearly. Much love to Desmond and her family.

My sister was one of my best friends. I will miss her every day.

Venessa was a kind and gentle soul- a devoted wife and loving mother. Desmond spoke of her with deep affection and grace, even before illness touched their lives. There is no better testament to her character than the love and admiration of those who knew her best.

We are so very sorry that you have all had to endure this terrible loss. Death is truly an enemy. 

While the girls and I have only known Vanessa for three years her impact on us will be long lasting. She reached out through mutual friends when we first moved to Nova Scotia and we just clicked. The type of friendship I really wished we would have been able to have enjoyed longer. She just made me her friend by her infectious smile, love of adventure, her warm, hospitable nature and for that I am forever grateful.

She battled with courage, faith and such a deep love for Jehovah and those around her. The girls and I look forward to the time when she will return to her beautiful, vibrant self and her faithfulness will be rewarded.

Her sense of humour was one of my favourite things about her 🩷 She was giggling while during Covid on a zoom meeting she was surrounded by her girls’ dolls ☺️😉🩷🩷

From being woken up by a text message from Vanessa asking me if I wanted to do a field trip instead of schoolwork and go see a beached blue whale with the girls, to going to see salamanders mating at night at the heart shaped pond and having her jump right into the pond to catch salamander eggs for science-to driving to the valley to watch eagles feeding to traveling to Blue Beach to look for fossils in the mud- I loved our adventures. She told me in hospice that she just wanted more educational adventures for her girls 🩷🩷🩷.  She was so passionate about their emotional well-being and their spiritual upbringing and a dynamic education for them 🩷

   I will always remember Vanessa as an incredibly intelligent, vibrant, kind, adventurous, generous, and insightful soul. She was one of the strongest women I’ve ever ever known. She always took in the downtrodden and saw things in such a balanced and loving way. Her children were her number one in life, and they were constantly on her mind and heart 🩷. And she had so so many friends because she touched such a multitude of people. Who wouldn’t be touched by dear Vanessa??🩷

Please know how terribly saddened we are to hear of Vanessa‘s passing. We love you all very much as we loved her. She was a beautiful person. It has been a pleasure knowing her for many years. Until we meet again, sis. Much love, Wayne, Shelly and Alberta.
