Buchanan, Vivian Margaret, age 101 of Halifax, died Tuesday October 13, 2015 in the QEII Health Sciences Center V.G Site. Born in Halifax, She was a daughter of the late Howard Joseph and Laura May (Mosher) Smith. She is survived by her daughter Geri (Gustave) Lavoie, Halifax, grandson Marc Lavoie; Vaudreuil-Dorion QC and niece and nephew Barb and Geoff Steen Calgary AB. She was predeceased by her husband Gerald Leo Buchanan, infant brother Gerald William Smith, and brother Kenneth Howard Smith. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends and relatives 2-4 pm Sunday October 25, 2015 in J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Dr., Halifax. A private graveside service will be held at a later date in Fairview Cemetery .
