Born in Halifax, he was the son of the late Alfred J. Kidd and Gladys Kidd.
Wayne was a past member with the Canadian Legion, Vimy Branch and a past member of the Masonic Lodge. He was retired for the past several years.
He loved to travel to the Caribbean and particularly enjoyed Jamaica, Barbados and Mexico. Wayne loved to watch his grandson Devin play soccer, hockey and baseball and was very proud of his granddaughter Ava’s accomplishments in swimming and gymnastics. Wayne’s world was happiest when surrounded by family. He loved to dance and loved music. Wayne also had a great sense of humour.
Wayne worked for several years at Maritime Paper. He then ran his own garage on the Purcell’s Cove Road until he discovered his love of cars and left to try his hand at sales. Wayne quickly moved into management and spent nineteen years at Towne Toyota. He was a manager with Mills Metro Mazda for another several years. He took a break from sales in the late 1960’s when he served on the Metropolitan Toronto Police Force before returning home to Nova Scotia. Wayne will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his loving wife Jackie; his precious princess, daughter Tracie (Shawn Dovey); his perfect son Dana (Tina); son Shaun (Janice); sister Wendy Swim (Kidd) and her husband Richard; grandson Devin and granddaughter Ava; and nieces Shannon and Tara.
