Wendy Ann Fiander

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Wendy Ann Fiander (Wiswell) of Glen Arbor, Nova Scotia. Beloved wife, sister, aunt, Nina and friend. She is survived by husband Mac Fiander; sisters Valerie (Llyod Nauffts), Gail (Tom Davis), Terry Noiles; and brothers Raymond (Bertha), David (Joan), Paul, Mike (Cindy), Wayne (Bridget), Tony (Donna), Danny; Sister-in-law Ann (Joe Troke) and many nieces, nephews, and extended family in England. She was predeceased by parents Clyde and Evelyn Wiswell (Whybrow) and niece Sarah Wiswell.

She spent many years in an insurance career, working at Royal Insurance and Major Brothers and most recently was an Administrator at ITS Construction.

Her sense of humour, love of family and zest for life is unmatched and will be greatly missed. She loved children, her nieces and nephews and her favourite kitties (Abi, Kati and Cali). You could often find Wendy, working away in her gardens, curled up with a good book, or poking around Facebook.

She is a treasured Nina to Elise, Graham and Keaton, whom she taught to dance, to draw and endlessly provided care and love to.

Her laugh and her dedication to help anyone who needed it, and willingness to lend an ear endeared Wendy to the hearts of many.

Visitation will be held from 1 -3 pm Friday, October 18th, service Saturday, October 19th at 1pm, at JA Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax.
