Bowers, Wilfred Lyall “Blondie” – 83, of Halifax, It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved father. Born in Halifax, he was the son of the late Wilfred and Eleanor (Murphy) Bowers. He retired from CN Rail after almost 40 years of service as a Senior brakeman. He is survived by daughters Cathy Norton and Christine (Pat); sons Bruce (Elizabeth), David, Fred (June), Joseph (Joanne); sister Shirley Ward; nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 59 years Lillian “Winkie”; sons George, Paul and James; sister Vivian. Cremation has taken place, no service by request.
