My condolences go out to Bernice and to all the family on the passing of Bill, such a great husband, father and dear friend to so many. He was only in my life for a short span of time but I will always remember him as a warm and compassionate person to everyone he met, including myself and my partner Brad. As a side note, he is the only person I ever met who had the same unique middle name as my dad!

I always remember the trip we took with Bill and Bernice and other friends to Mexico and what a great time we had getting to know one another better during a fun week in the sun. I always found his manner of speaking to be very calm and soothing and he made everyone feel comfortable in his presence and was generous to a fault.

Though I hadn’t seen Bill in a few years, I was hoping to change that someday. I feel sad that I will never get that chance now. Please know that I am thinking of all those who loved and knew Bill best in the difficult days you are now experiencing without him.

Hugs from Heather (Lennox)

We are so saddened and shocked to know of Bill’s passing. We have such great memories of his kindness and generosity, always opening their very welcoming home on the Riverside to all of the folks from The Interval!
It is with great sadness that we offer our most sincere condolences at this very difficult time to Bernice and family! Bill would want us all to celebrate his life with all the wonderful memories we have of a life well spent! He touched the hearts of many! Billy was one of the good guys. I have such great memories, whether it was him cheering us kids on at Centennial Arena, get togethers at one of our family homes in Fairview, or parties at the Boudreau's summer home in Antigonish. Nobody was a better host or nicer people than Billy & Bernice. I am so saddened to hear this news, and my heart goes out to Bernice, Scott, Trevor, Megan, and all the grandkids.

Bernice and family. It was such a shock to hear that I had lost one of my very best friends.
Bernice, having you and Bill as neighbours and best friends was one of the significant benefits of moving from NL to NS.
To use Bill’s own words, “ he was the salt of the earth”.
Even though “Horse pulls” were not my favourite pass time attending them with Billy and meeting so many of his good country friends was a pleasure. Billy had so many friends and I doubt any enemies.
Scottie and Trevor you are going to miss your dad in the week and months ahead but you can take some consultation from the fact that all those who we’re blessed with knowing him will attest to the fact that he was indeed “The salt of the earth”, and he loved and cherished you and your families.
Bernice you and “hon” were joined at the hip, the heart and the soul!
From my observation during the many, many times Betty and I enjoyed your company, both on the street and in the country, you have a wonderful life to look back on as you deal with your great loss going forward.
My dear friend Billy, RIP. Walter and Betty Tucker, NL.
