
SLAUNWHITE, William Leslie (Les) – 67, of Terence Bay, N.S. It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our father, Les who passed away peacefully, surrounded by family and friends on Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at the QEII Health Sciences Centre. He was the son of the late James Leslie and survived by his mother, Marion Slaunwhite. Les was a long time employee of the Halifax Port Authority for 33 years. Along with his mother, he is also survived by his brother Kenny (Shirley) of Dartmouth, Marshall of Terence Bay River, sister Marilyn (Robbie), and nephew Ashley Slaunwhite who was like a son. He will be greatly missed by his companion Ann Slaunwhite, daughters Janice (Mark), Debbie (His Joey), and Chrystal (Peter), his five grandchildren Les, Jeff, Mike, Katelyn and Josie, and nine great-grandchildren and his best friend, his dog Peanut. There will be no visitation by request of the family. Memorial service will be held on Monday, September 6th, 10 a.m. at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Rev. Lisa Vaughan officiating. Interment will take place in St. Paul’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Paul’s Anglican Church.
