Age 71 of Halifax, left his family suddenly on January 23, 2014, at home while in the great outdoors with his wife Claire (Smith) by his side. Born in Volger's Cove, NS, on March 9, 1942, he was a son of the late Byron and Lorinda (Conrad) Reinhardt. He is survived by his daughters, Karen (Brian) Fraser and Corinna (Blaine) Recker. He was predeceased by Corinna's twin sister, Christina. He was a fun-loving grandfather to his grandchildren, Mackenzie and Anderson Recker and Rebecca, Abigail and Madison Fraser, attending many, many of the grandchildren's events. Wilson is survived by his sister, Ruby Northover, Ontario, and brothers, Morton, Bishopville, Wayne, Dartmouth, and Dale, Halifax.
Wilson's greatest joys in life was spending his time outside, whether it be fishing, golfing, hunting or just enjoying walking around the neighborhood or campground and stopping for as many chats as he could. He especially enjoyed his weekly golfing in Florida during his many trips there. He really enjoyed the volunteering/giving of himself in his community, church and Lion's Club.
His careers started as a teenager with Merchant Marine and then into sales, ending with 26 years at Farmer's Dairy and in retirement, involved with the local schools.
A special thanks to Susan and Collette and all the emergency personnel.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 28, at 2:00 pm at the Trinity United Church in Timberlea with a reception to follow at the church. Burial at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Trinity United Church (Timberlea) http://www.halifaxpresbytery.ca/timberlea.html or charity of choice. This will be a great and sad void for his family and everyone who knew him.
