October 24th. Alfred was born in Lakenheath, England on
February 3rd, 1965.
Alfred was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, & uncle.
Al is survived by his loving wife, Karin (36 years), his daughters
Franziska (Jonathan) & Tanja, and his son Allyn (Amber), along with
his 11 grandchildren. He is also survived by his mother,
Margaret Chapmon, his brother, and 4 sisters.
Alfred was preceded in death by his daughter, Christina,
father, Clyde, and baby sister, Loretta.
Al retired from the United States Army as a Sergeant First Class, after
proudly serving 20 years on active duty, 9 of which were in an active
combat zone. He then worked as a government contractor for an
additional 21 years. Al was primarily trained as a 67T, UH-60
Blackhawk Aircraft Repairer. He was also trained as an Airborne
Paratrooper. Throughout his career he was trained additionally as
a Mechanic and Technical Inspector on several other US Army helicopters.
Al enjoyed riding motorcycles, caring for the animals on his farm and
spending time with his family and friends. He was a man that loved
hard and loved to be loved.
A visitation for Alfred will be held Tuesday, October 28, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Riley Funeral Home Inc., 402 West Main, Hamilton, TX 76531. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at 10:00 AM at First Baptist Church of Hamilton, 220 S Bell, Hamilton, TX 76531.
