

She was born on Monday, November 27, 1933, to Thad James and Irene (Baird) Tatum in Doblin, Texas. On Friday, December 11, 1953, Betty married Arnold E. Fleming in Alexander, Texas.
In the summer of 1975, the family made their home in Hamilton she was a member of the First Baptist Church in Mertzon, Texas.
Ruth is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Arnold E. “Pete” Fleming of Hamilton, Texas; sons Douglas and wife Janet Fleming of Grandbury and Michael Fleming of Weatherford; granddaughters, Amanda Fleming and Ashley Fleming, both of Aledo, Texas; grandsons Matthew and wife Keri Fleming and Ben Fleming, both of Grandbury; and great grandsons, Rylan and Hunter Fleming of Grandbury; brothers Donald Tatum of Paris, Texas; Marvin and wife Carrie Tatum of Manteca, California; Max and wife Judy Tatum of Vernon, Texas, and Dennis and his wife Brauni of Burleson, Texas. She is also survived by her numerous nieces and nephews and other family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother James Tatum and her sister-in-law: Charlotte Tatum.
Visitation will be on Monday, December 29, 2014, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Riley Funeral Home.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel in Hamilton with burial to follow at the Live Oak Cemetery in Purves, Texas.
Pallbearers will be Matt Fleming, Ben Fleming, Josh Hahn, Doug Schrank, Mike Lovell and Don Gromatzky.
