Billy Gene Cole

A service was held Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at 10 AM at Riley Funeral Home and burial was at Pottsville Community Cemetery.

Billy was born in Pottsville on December 6, 1931 to Mae Glover and Charlie Cole. Graduating from Pottsville High school, Billy continued on to work for the Texas Highway Department for 38 years and continued to operate the Cole family farm. Hunting and fishing were some of Billy’s favorite pastimes, as well as working at the church after he retired and doing mission work in Mexico, working at United Care, and Meals on Wheels.

Proceeding Billy in death is his wife, Dorcas; parents, Charlie and Mae; brother, Charles Cole; and sisters, Jimmie Dean Fuqua and Mary Lou Spivey. Left to cherish Billy’s memory are his daughters, Terri Evridge and husband, John, and Sherri Welch and husband, Alvin; grandchildren, Wesley Evridge and Whitney Evridge; sister-in-law, Doris White; and several nieces and nephews.
