Born on August 17th, 1959, in Fort Worth, Texas, Cinthia was the daughter of Elmer Otis Grant (“Otis”) and Margaret Elise Ray Grant (“Maggie”). She was raised in Hamilton, where her bright spirit, determination, and genuine care for others quickly became evident. Through her involvement in numerous extracurricular activities, she developed lifelong values rooted in compassion, resilience, loyalty, and a steadfast work ethic.
From her early years in Bluebirds and Camp Fire Girls to her standout achievements in Junior High and High School athletics, Cinthia embraced every opportunity to grow and lead. She excelled in both basketball and track, earning a place at regionals her senior year in the high jump. In 1976, she was crowned Dove Festival Queen, and she proudly graduated from Hamilton High School in 1977.
That same year, on August 19th, she married her high school sweetheart, Truman Jay Wilson (“TJ”), beginning a beautiful life together. Together they raised two children, Shea and Keslie, who remained the greatest joys of her life. Cinthia was deeply devoted to her family, staying active alongside her children by becoming a Red Cross–certified lifeguard and coaching multiple seasons of Little Dribblers Basketball.
Cinthia’s professional journey began when she was hired to assist Drew Campbell and Andy McMullen in establishing an abstract and title plant, working alongside Joy Garrett and others to build the foundational database records for the abstract company. She later served as the administrative assistant for the Hamilton County Judge before spending 17 meaningful years with MHMR. Additional roles included positions with Watson Feed and the Comanche Sale Barn. In 2011, she came full circle and returned to Hamilton County Abstract Company, where her extensive knowledge of land and property history became truly invaluable.
Outside of work, Cinthia embraced life with enthusiasm and joy. She was an avid sports fan who loved cheering on her favorite basketball, baseball, and football teams. She also had a special fondness for watching the rodeo finals. Her happiest days were spent with her toes in the sand, listening to the sound of the waves, as she cherished every moment whether at the beach or the lake. Time with friends and family was precious to her, and she savored every opportunity to be surrounded by the people she loved. Whether she was playing Keno with the girls, gathered in lawn chairs sharing stories and laughter in someone’s yard, taking an RV trip to the coast, or spending hours deep into Rummy card games with her family, she found pure joy in simply being together. These moments - filled with laughter, connection, and lasting memories - were among her happiest, and they remain a cherished part of her legacy.
Her greatest joy came from being “Mimi” to her grandchildren - Blake, Braylee, Kyler, and Khloe. She was their biggest cheerleader, celebrating every milestone with genuine excitement and taking immense pride in each of them. Whether she was cheering from the sidelines, sharing special traditions, or simply listening with a full heart, she poured boundless love into her role as Mimi. Her grandchildren brought her endless happiness, and the memories they made together will continue to shine brightly in their lives.
Cinthia will be remembered for her warmth, her resilience, and the boundless love she poured into her family and community.
