Curtis Dale Creach, 79, of Hamilton passed away on September 22,2025 at Focused Care in Hamilton, Tx. A Memorial Service will be held at First United Methodist Church in Hamilton on Thursday, October 2nd at 10 am. A burial will take place at Green Acres Memorial Park in Cleburne at 2 pm.
He was born March 23,1946 to Charles and Joy Creach. He grew up in Joshua, Texas. There he excelled in sports, especially football and Track. He was an All-State running-back 2 years. He graduated from Joshua in 1964. After High School, he attended Navarro Junior College.
Curtis married Carolyn Bea Shipman on July 31 1965. Curtis worked as an electrician assistant for Santa Fe Railroad for several years. He then took position as Herdsman for J. Fred Davis Dairies North of Ft. Worth. Curtis and Carolyn started their own dairy in 1974 North of Joshua. In 1977, they moved their family and dairy to Hamilton County. They continued to dairy until they sold it in 1986. During his years in the Dairy business, he was active in the Texas Jersey Cattle Club as well as being a Dairy Cattle Show Judge. After selling the dairy, Curtis went to Tarleton State and received his degree in Science along with a teaching certificate. Over the next 20 years, he taught High School Science at Whitney ISD, followed by Jonesboro ISD before ending his Career at Hamilton ISD in 2008.
Curtis enjoyed RVing with Carolyn and friends, farming and ranching, fishing and spending time with family. He also took great joy in his years of coaching Little League and Little Dribblers in Hamilton, continuing even after his own Children finished participating. He was a man of deep faith and a member of the Hamilton First United Methodist Church.
Curtis was preceded in death by his wife Carolyn, parents Charles and Joy, and brother Sonny Jay.
Curtis is survived by daughter Charlette Boyd of Hamilton and husband Bruce, son Curtis Dale (C.D.) of Hawley and wife Barbara. Grandchildren, J’Lynn Ritch of Cincinnati, Ohio and husband Zach, Brice Boyd of Houston and wife Sutton, Caden and Carson Creach of Hawley. Also two great-grandchildren Ada’Lynn and Adam of Ohio. He is also survived by his two sisters, Sissy Duke of Joshua and Denise Bewley of Ft Worth.
Memorial Donations may be made to Methodist Children’s Home in Waco or West Texas Rehab Center in Abilene.
