Glendon Dale Carr

Memorial services for MR. Glendon Dale Carr, 72, formerly of Goldthwaite , will be held Friday at 2:00 pm at Stacy Wilkins Funeral Home in Goldthwaite . He was born on December 6, 1940, in Caradan, Texas and passed away on Jan. 28, 2013 in a Hamilton hospital. He was the former Sheriff of Mills county and was also known for making custom boots, he was also a Mason. Survivors include his children; John Salter and his wife Chris, of Lubbock , A. Glenn Carr and his wife Angela of Fort Worth, Melissa Bruton and her husband Wesley of Early, Sandy Boatwright and her husband Jeremy of Hamilton, and Shane Carr and his wife Christi of Hamilton. He is also survived by his 15 grandchildren; Amy, John Ryan, Jamye , Courtney, Marcus, Austin, Sabella, Alyssa, Tyler, Anastasia, Logan, Levan, Lanie, Astin , and Skylar ; and by one great granddaughter, Maryjane . He is also survived by 3 brothers; Johnny Carr of Grand Prarie, Andy “Twistle” Carr, of Caradan and Phillip Carr of Goldthwaite, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Andy Garner Carr and Velva Koen Carr and one brother Bobby Carr. Riley Funeral Home of Hamilton is in charge of local arrangements.
