Glenna Doris Mitchell, 91, of Hamilton, went to be with her Lord, Wednesday, February 11, 2015. Doris, as most knew her, was the daughter of P. H. and Dellar (Hallmark) Jones, Sr. She married Roy Gene Mitchell on December 11, 1951 in Mitchell County, Texas.
Doris was devoted to her Lord, her Church and her family. She was a life-long member of the Church of Christ. She loved to cook and was good at it. She loved her two boys: Doug and Rick, six grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Doris worked as a house keeper at the Forest Oaks Nursing Home for several years.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents; P. H. and Dellar Jones, Sr.; her brother, Prentice Jones, Jr.; sisters, Bee Stevenson, Aliene Ritchey, Florence Morris.
Doris is survived by her sons: Roy Douglas Mitchell and Wilma Tubbs of Hamilton, Ricky Gene Mitchell Fort Worth; sister, Paula Hodnett. Doris is also survived by six grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
