

Jessie was born on Sunday, May 2, 1926, one of eight children born to Joe B and Ruby Jeffrey Brumbalow, in Leon Junction Texas. As a youngster, he attended several Hamilton area schools.
At the age of 18, Jessie left Texas and served in the US Army from 1945 to 1947. On June 29, 1946, Jessie married Doris Laphane Devenport. After serving in the military, they moved to Fort Worth for ten years where he worked for Convair Aircraft and also owned and operated a Gulf Station.
Jessie and Laphane, then move to Hamilton, Texas where they were the Conoco Oil agent from 1958 until 1968. He then started Brumbalow Motors and worked there until he retired to his farm in 1991.
While living in Hamilton, Jessie served on the Hamilton City Council, Hamilton School Board, and an officer on the Hamilton Volunteer Fire Department and was also a member of the Kiwanis Club.
Jessie was a member of the Park Heights Church of Christ in Hamilton.
Jessie was preceded in death by his parents Joe and Ruby Jeffrey Brumbalow and a total of six brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Laphane Devenport of Hamilton, Texas; Son Ben Brumbalow and wife Cathy of Hamilton, Texas; daughter Nancy Sellers and husband Bobby of Hamilton, Texas; grandson Jeff Brumbalow and wife Melissa of San Antonio, Texas; grandson Miles Sellers and wife Gina of Hamilton, Texas; grandson Kyle Sellers and wife Kayla of Hamilton; grandson Clay Sparks of Austin, Texas; and grandson Aaron Sparks and wife Sharon of Spring, Texas. He is also survived by great grandchildren Calvin Brumbalow, Alyssa Sparks and Chloe Kujawa and one sister Faye Nettleton of Fort Worth.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Brumbalow, Miles Sellers Kyle Sellers, Aaron Sparks, Clay Sparks and Calvin Brubalow.
