Jimmie Harden Joiner, 80, went to be with Jesus in his eternal heavenly home on Saturday, November, 21, 2020 after a hard-fought battle with a long illness. He will be remembered for his love of his family, while his belief in Christ supported him in his struggle and ultimately gave him peace.
His three daughters, two children-in-loves, nine grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, siblings, and numerous nephews and nieces adored him.
Jimmie was born December 10, 1939 in Runnels County, Texas to the Willis J. (Rowdy) Joiner and Lavern E. (King) Joiner. He was raised in Paint Rock with seven brothers and sisters; Julius W. Joiner, Martha L. Shifflett, Jeff G. Joiner, Linda M. Harrell, Johnny R. Joiner, Wanda L. Rock, & Lloyd W. Joiner.
After attending school in Paint Rock, Jimmie met his 1st wife LaVerne M. (Underwood) in Abilene, Texas, with whom he had three daughters: Chelyn C. Shaw, Dawn R. (Nina) Joiner, & Channa J. Hobbs
He served six years in the Marine Reserves, working most of his whole life in the oilfield, earning many college credits and working his way up to international consultant before semi-retiring to his ranch in Hamilton County, working the land and livestock for 40 years. Jimmie loved his daughters, family, and animals, and they loved him.
Jimmie was kind, softspoken, wise, of few words, faithful, funny, strong, he enjoyed ranching, hunting, fishing, family time, and going to breakfast with his buddies at O'dark-thirty.
Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Julius & Jeff, two nephews, one niece, & his 2nd wife Jenny L. Joiner.
