Mr. Jimmy Ray Schrank, age 74, of Hamilton, Texas passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2023. Jimmy was born on October 10, 1949 in Gatesville, Texas to Virgie Stinson Schrank and Lehman Edgar (Jim) Schrank.
He was raised and lived in Pottsville until his parents sold the old home place his senior year. They moved to Hamilton, Texas. He continued driving back and forth to Pottsville to finish his senior year of high school. Jim said his favorite thing to do was dance and drink beer. He said the funniest thing to do was play pranks on his friends. He said the best thing he ever did was marry Brenda. If it wasn’t for her he wouldn’t have lasted this long.
Jim was Baptized on November 10, 1949 and received his confirmation on March 3, 1964. Jim Passed away at home surrounded by family.
Jimmy is survived by his spouse, Brenda Schrank; his daughter Kim Kent; his son-in-law Jason; his daughter Gina Poe; his son-in-law Derek; his sons; Rick and Darren Price; his grandson Aidan Spurlock, his grandson Denver Poe, his granddaughter Averi Poe, his grandson Tyler Price, his grandson Coltyn Price and his great granddaughter Zoey Price.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his father Lehman Edgar (Jim) Schrank and his mother Virgie Stinson Schrank.
A visitation service for Jimmy will be held Wednesday, November 29, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Riley Funeral Home, 402 W Main, Hamilton, Texas. A funeral service will occur Thursday, November 30, 2023 at 10:00 AM at ST. John Lutheran Church, Hwy 22, Hamilton, Texas. Jimmy will be laid to rest in Oakwood Cemetery, Hwy 281 N, Hamilton, Texas.
Serving as pallbearers are Jake Murphree, Zac Burks, Leroy Tyson, Butch Fulton, Larry Venable, Joe Sommerfeld;
Serving as honorary pallbearers are Allen Dodson, Malcome Petitt, David Pointer, Jack Massingill and James Synatzske.
