

JoAnne Lee Elliott Curb, 68, was called into eternal peace on December 29, 2013, surrounded by her loving family. JoAnne was born on September 27, 1945 to Wilburn Elliott and Rita Nell Caraway Elliott in Hamilton, Texas.
On September 27, 1992, she joined St. John Lutheran Church. Her confirmation verse was “Walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto His Kingdom and glory.” 1 Thessalonians 2:12.
Prior to being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease in 2008, JoAnne was very active. She loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren who affectionately called her “Nanny.” JoAnne loved to cook and was well known for her cooking and catering skills. She loved taking care of her plants and flowers, as well as watching all the beautiful wild birds she fed. She was active in her church devoting time to the Mary Martha group, teaching Vacation Bible School, Sunday School and F.I.S.H. JoAnne was loved, admired, and cherished by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Jason Wade Kuklies and her sister, Judy Adcock.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Dalton Curb. JoAnne leaves behind her three children: Mischelle Bottlinger and husband, Charlie; Trent Kuklies and wife, Donna; and Kevin Kuklies and wife, Carrie; her grandchildren: Tristan Kuklies, Shelby Kuklies, Rachel Bottlinger, Nicolas Bottlinger and Chloe Kuklies; and step-grandchildren: Kade Baker, Madalyn Baker, Keegan Baker, and Aiden Baker; her brother, Donnie Elliott and wife Cindy; her sister, Jane Glaser and husband Richard; two uncles: Dale Caraway and wife Barbara, and Wade Caraway.
