I was stationed with John aboard the USS Oxford AGTR-1 during 1969 in Vietnam. I found a photograph of him in my Vietnam scrapbook and will gladly send this to anyone in his family or friends. My deepest sympathies to the family. May God be with you all.

I just noticed the obituary of John Alexander. I served with John on the USS OXFORD during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a likeable shipmate who did his duty in a quiet, humble manner. My prayers are with the family. May John rest in peace.

John was an icon in the moulding and millwork industry. He will be sorely missed,
but fondly remembered. His honesty and dedication along with engaging dry wit
brings smiles today along with the tears.
