John Lloyd Newman , 77, passed away on Saturday May 21, 2011 at his home in Evant, TX. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Berylene Newman; a son, John Lloyd Newman Jr. and wife Kim of Brady, TX. A daughter; Christy Newman Forrest and spouse Doug of Hamilton, TX. A brother; Bill Newman of Millersview, TX. A sister; Joyce Ames of Millview, TX. Grandchildren; Clabe Forrest and wife Brandie of Burleson, TX and great-grandson of Caystin. Greyson Forrest of Williston, ND, and Jacob Forrest of Dallas, TX. Amy Burttshell and husband Jimmy of San Angelo, TX and Kristen Newman of San Angelo, TX. John is preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers; Jim Newman and Carlton Newman; and sister, Mary Perkins. He was a loving father, grandfather, and enjoyed ranching.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, May 24, 2011; 2 p.m. at Evant First Baptist Church, in Evant, TX with David Bonnett officiating. Visitation will be held from 6-8p.m. Monday evening at Riley Funeral Home, in Hamilton, TX. Burial will follow at Live Oak Cemetery, Hamilton, TX.
