

Luther Haak, 87, of Hamilton, passed away February 23, 2010 in the Hamilton General Hospital surrounded by his family and friends. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, February 27, 2010 at 11:00 am in the Riley Funeral Home Chapel with Jonathan Sawyer officiating.
Burial will follow in the Murphree Cemetery in Evant, Texas under the directions of Riley Funeral Home of Hamilton.
Luther George Haak was born May 21, 1922 in Oakville, Texas to the late Mr. and Mrs. Wesley and Laura Ring Haak. He married Beatrice Natelie Walters in Corpus Christi, Texas in 1944. Luther faithfully served his country in the United States Navy during WWII and was very proud to have been a boxer during his time of service. Luther worked for Texas Power and Light for many years and retired as a crew foreman. He touched many lives and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Survivors include: His wife of over 60 years, Beatrice Haak of Hamilton, 3 sons, Ted Haak and his wife Joyce of Keller, Texas, Slade Haak and his wife Beverly of Corsicana, Texas, and Randy Haak of McKinney, Texas. He was also survived by 8 grandchilldren, 14 great-grandchildren, 1 brother, Eugene Haak, and 1 sister, Pearl Haak of Lufkin, Texas, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Serving as pallbearers were: Garrett Jennings, Gage Jennings, Jack Baccus, Weston Baccus, Rusty Jumper, and Jason Haak. Serving as honorary pallbearer was Jeremy Haak.
Memorials may be made to the Hamilton Athletic Boosters or the Hamilton General Hospital.
