He was born on September 26, 1952, to Joe and Jessie Kinsey in Temple. Mickey grew up in Hamilton, TX. Some of his favorite memories were out at his grandmother’s house out on Vista Mountain enjoying time with his cousins. Many special Sunday lunches and afternoons spent out on Vista Mountain. As a young boy he loved playing baseball, he saved his lunch money to buy a glove and one of his favorite memories was the first homerun out of the park on Kiwanis Field there in Hamilton. One of his favorite hunting memories was with his dad, he took one shot and hit his limit. Mickey graduated from Hamilton High School in 1971. Afterwards he attended Abilene Christian, where he continued his football career. Mickey married Kay Locke his high school sweetheart on January 6, 1973, in Hamilton and worked as a Civilian Supervisor in the Arlington Police Department for 10 years. Kay and Mickey moved back to Hamilton in 1984 with their two girls to build a life close to family; one of the most important things to Mickey. Mickey started a pre-owned furniture business, then sold new as the years went on. Mickey began to buy rental properties to enhance his business. Mickey and Kay had two daughters: Jessica Baldwin of Midlothian, TX and Natalie Schroeder of Hamilton, TX. Mickey avidly enjoyed spending time with his family. In his younger years he and Kay camped, fished, and enjoyed time on the water. When his girls started getting older his passion was to support them in their sporting activities. One of his biggest joys was spending time with his girls on the golf course, tournaments, lessons, state championships, and college careers. Mickey supported them every step of the way. As the grandchildren came along his passion for his family continued and maybe grew stronger. “Papa” as they know him showed up at every event he could; from sports to scouts Papa was always there cheering them on. Papa was known by all of their friends as well; he cheered for all of the kids on the team and got to know them and their families. Mickey is survived by wife Kay Kinsey, daughters Jessica Baldwin and her husband Nathan Baldwin, Natalie Schroeder and her husband James Schroeder, grandchildren Travis, Tucker, and Tyler Baldwin, Kinsey and Maelie Schroeder, sister Vicki Shook, and nephew Joe Shook. He is preceded in death by his Parents Joe and Jessie Kinsey.
