August 5, 1944August 22, 2018

Nancy I. (Susie) Smith, age 74, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at Baylor, Scott & White Hospital in Temple Texas.

Susie was born August 5, 1944 in Grants Pass, Oregon to Lewis Elwood Caswell and Paquita Carolyn Alexander.

She was a long time resident of Evant, Texas, where she worked for The First National Bank of Evant for 24 years. She loved her family with all her heart. She enjoyed talking and visiting with family and friends. Her eyes lit up when her grandchildren and great grandchildren came to visit. She loved listening to music and feeding and playing with her cats. She always had a smile and a joke for everyone. Susie was truly a kind and compassionate person to everyone she met in life, she would help others in need, even if it meant giving up what she needed. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her daughter Reenie Clary and husband Tim. Two stepdaughters Brenda Gartmen and Joy Clark and husband Gary. Twelve grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at Pearl Community Fellowship Church in Pearl, Texas.

I’ll always remember her coming in Daddy’s store with a smile on her face, happy and kind. She really was one of the kindest people I knew. Condolences to the family. Prayers that God will carry you through this and comfort you as only He can.

I look foward to seeing her at the bank. She always smiled and called me by my name. That is something most people can't do correctly, She always did.
RIP Sweet Lady
