Oleta May Ising Stegemoller

Oleta May Ising Stegemoller, age 87, of Pottsville , went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 , in Clifton , Texas . Oleta was born May 18, 19 23 , in the McGirk Community of Hamilton County , to Paul and Ida Siems Ising . Her older siblings were Lillie , Mrs. Kermit Landua of Shive; Eda, Mrs. Walter Frank of Center City ; and Charlie Ising , of McGirk. All of them preceded her in death.She attended school in McGirk and Pottsville , and graduated from Star High School . She married Oscar Henry Stegemoller on May 3, 19 45 , at Trinity Lutheran Church in Pottsville . They lived on farms at Aleman and Pottsville . Oleta was a hard-working homemaker, fine seamstress, and assistant farm and ranch worker. She also worked at Patty ’s of Texas in Hamilton and Schuster’s in Goldthwaite. She enjoyed her garden, canning, cooking, and making old-fashioned sunbonnets and aprons. She was a member of the United Church of God in Waco .

Oscar preceded her in death on June 19, 1983 . Survivors include three children and their families: Carolyn and husband Ron Williams of Whitney , Lacrecia Stegemoller of Dallas , and Louis Stegemoller and wife Pat of Nederland. Grandchildren and their spouses are as follows: Diana and Mark Price of Frisco; Andrea and Jeff Brown of Forest Park , Illinois ; Amy and Wes Graham of Hamilton ; Louis, Jr. and Leslie Stegemoller of Nederland ; and Dr. Kristen Stegemoller of Fort Worth . Great-grandchildren are Daniel Price , Aislin Garcia and Sage Stegemoller, and Austin and Jenna Graham . She is also survived by one sister-in-law, Mattie Hohertz , of Clifton .

Pall Bearers are nephews Harold Frank , Paul Carl Ising, and David Landua ; and grandsons Jeff Brown , Wes Graham , Mark Price , and Louis Stegemoller , Jr. Honorary pall bearers are Esteen Bottlinger , Dan Dudley , Jim Ervin , Roger Foley , Leroy Mayben , Monroe Schultz, Johnnie Stegemoller , and Milton Stegemoller .

Services are at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 30, at the Riley Chapel in Hamilton , with Mr. Roy Dove officiating. Burial will be at the Stegemoller Family Cemetery near Pottsville . In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pottsville Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 213 , Pottsville , TX 76565 .
