Patricia Ann Katherine Berry

On December 8, 2016 in the early morning hours, Patricia Ann Katherine Berry, quietly completed this life’s journey and went to meet and be with her Heavenly Father and enjoyed the rewards he had awaiting her.

Pat, as friends and relatives knew her, was born in Hollandale, Mississippi on March 4, 1948 to Dan Edward and Effie Olean Byrd, living there until her teen age years when the family moved to the Golden Triangle area of Texas where Pat grew to adulthood. During her adult life, in addition to Texas, Pat lived in Arkansas and Mississippi. Pat moved to Hamilton, Texas in 2004 from Florence, Mississippi.

She was preceded in death by her only child, Dewana Alsousissi, both of her parents, three sisters, Jean Lewis of Arkansas, Joan Lee of Arkansas, Diana Shave of Greenville, Texas and two brothers, Edward Byrd of Vidor, Texas and Harold Ray Byrd of Arkansas.

She is survived by her two grandsons, Shaun Alsousissi of Grandbury, Texas and Stephen Alsousissi of Florida, five sisters and three brothers-in-law and Bill Rasch of Lakeland, Tennessee, Doris and Artiss Williams of Florence, Mississippi, Wana Weber of Florence , Mississippi, Teresa and John Ratliff and Fay Nelson of Hamilton, Texas and multitude of nieces and nephews scattered around the United States.

While Pat was a kind and loving person, and friendly to all she met, she was a private indididual and Pat’s wishes were that her passing be the way she lived her life, in quietness and with privacy. No public memorial or ceremony is planned. Family members will attend a quiet, private ceremony for her in a family Cemetery in Florence, Mississippi.
