Patricia Ann (Nichols) Bottlinger was born on August 19, 1936 in Los Angeles, California to Charles and Margaret (Dunham) Nichols. She was an only child and a “daddy’s girl”. She spent most of her childhood in Pasadena, California until the death of her father. At the age 14, she and her mother moved to Gustine, Texas, where she graduated from Gustine High School in May 1954. She was a Tiger Cheerleader and Mascot.
On June 12, 1954 Patricia married Murlin Bottlinger. She was confirmed and became a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Hamilton, Texas. Together they were blessed with four children Mark, Charles, Rebecca, and Steven.
In January of 1989, Patricia married Bryan Bottlinger. Bryan and Patricia enjoyed eighteen years of ranching and country living until Bryan’s death in April 2007.
Patricia enjoyed photography, wildlife, crafts, and loved her various animals. She remained friends with her Gustine classmates throughout her lifetime; playing cards, meeting them for class reunions, and seeing them on Friday nights for dinner at the café in Gustine.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bryan, and her son Mark Bottlinger.
Survivors include her children Charlie and Mischelle Bottlinger of Hamilton, Rebecca Bottlinger of Boerne, Texas, and Steven Bottlinger of Hamilton. Grandchildren Rachel Bottlinger, Nicolas Bottlinger, Lee and Mandy Kirkland, Tonya and Justin Coalson, Trena and Johnny Guerra, and six great-grandchildren.
