Patsy was born on December 7, 1938, in the Old Hamilton General Hospital. She grew up in Gustine and graduated from Gustine High School. After Graduation she moved to Ft. Worth where she met her future husband, Marvin at the Polytechnic Baptist Church. Shortly thereafter they were married on January 4th, 1958, in the pastor's study. Her husband Marvin was a Ft. Worth Police Officer, and she was very active in both the Police Ladies Auxiliary, and the Auxiliary of the Texas Municipal Police Officers Association. When the Ft. Worth Police Officers were allowed to live outside the city limits, they moved to Burleson where they lived for thirty years and where the children grew up. After Marvin retired, they moved to Energy in 2000. Patsy was happy to be among many old friends and made many new friends. They joined Pettit Baptist Church where Martha Ray's husband was the pastor.
She was preceded in death by her parents John Daniel (JD) and Lyla Louise Strickland Center, and Brother Joseph Beryl Center.
She is survived by Marvin, her husband of sixty-seven years. Daughter Sandra Lee Dennis of Joshua, and son Jay Dee Gresham of Energy. Brother Lewis Daniel Center, and sister Mary Kay Luker of Hamilton. Sister Martha Ray Calcote of Energy, and brother Ernest Marshall Center of Lagrange North Carolina.
