

Augi was born in Houston, Texas, on 23 March 1956, the second son of Henry and Carson (Meitzen) Flak.
Augi was a 1980 graduate of the United States Naval Academy and served our nation proudly 1980 to 1985.
After his service to our country, Augi worked at Honeywell in Minnesota, and for Smith International in Texas, Oklahoma and Utah. At the time of his passing, he was employed at Burintekh USA, in Fort Worth, Texas.
Augi is survived by his wife, Kristi (Brownell); his sons, Adrian and Travis, both of St. Paul, Minnesota; his parents-in-law, Neil and Karen Brownell of Oylen, Minnesota; brothers-in-law, Christian (Alicia) Brownell of Brainerd, Minnesota; Loren (Kristy) Brownell of Walla Walla, Washington; sisters-in-law Julie (Kevin) Simmons of Huntsville, Texas; and Shelby Kropuenske of Motley, Minnesota, as well as many cherished nieces and nephews.
Augi was a multi-faceted man who at different times throughout his life liked to paint, write poetry, rock climb, golf, race cars, travel, go to concerts and movies and read novels. He was passionate about food, drink and a good cigar. He was always ready with a practical joke for the unsuspecting.
Augi loved his family, his friends and his dogs and cats. He lived life to the fullest at every given opportunity.
Augi was preceded in death by his parents and his older brother, Larry, as well as his brother-in-law, Howard Kropuenske.
Services will be held in Evant, Texas, on 18 June, Fort Worth, Texas, on 23 June and Motley, Minnesota, on 29 June.
