Robert “Frog” Basey Jr. passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2019 in Temple, Texas.

Robert was born on December 14, 1932 in Austin, TX to Robert Lee and Katherine (Jackson) Basey.

He retired from the City of Austin after many years of dedicated employment. Robert enjoyed fishing and teaching his grandchildren to fish as well.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers and 1 sister.

He is survived by wife; Laverne Basey, his step-children; Yolanda Juroska and husband David of Ft. Worth, TX., Sherry Hutchison and husband Tommy of Portland, TN., and Wesley Manley of Hamilton, TX., grandchildren; Robin Green of Thrall, Jennifer Ulguary of Leander, Angie Gage of Leander, Amanda Howell and Andy Howell both of Burleson, Shelby Juroska of Ft. Worth, Blake Stratton and Emily Hudgins both of Portland, TN., sisters; Rena Mae Robinson, Dorthy Stockton, Martha Potts and Barbara Birchfield, 12 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchildren and host of nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at Riley Funeral Home from 6-8 PM.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, December 15, 2019 at 2PM at Riley Funeral Home with burial following at Millerville Cemetery.
