Sammy Bly Toronjo, age 70, passed away in Hamilton, Texas, July 22, 2012. Services are to be held Wednesday, July 25, 2012, 10:00 AM at Riley Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Live Oak Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 24, 2012, from 6:00 PM till 8:00 PM at Riley Funeral Home.
Sammy was born November 26, 1941 in Yoakum, Texas to Ira and Sammy LouSeah Bailey. Sammy was a house wife most of her life. Sammy also worked as an assistant to Dr. Jin in Neederland, Texas an Ophthalmologist.
Sammy is survived by son, Oran and wife Ruth Bly, sisters, Otelia Pafford and Ora Rita and husband Roy Bates; four grandchildren, one step-daughter, two great-grand children, numerous nieces and nephews.
Sammy is preceded in death by parents, Ira and LouSeah Bailey; brothers, Ira Ray (Jack) Bailey and Herman Elmo (Pete) Bailey; half-brothers, Seth, Bill, Grady, JB and John Bailey; half-sister Elizabeth Bailey Roberts; half-brothers, John W. “Woody” Lusk and James Henry “Jim” Lusk.
