Sue Baucom Davidson August 17, 1929-April 6, 2019

Sue Jane Davidson was born to Don and Sadie Baucom August 17th, 1929 in her grandmother’s home on Corpus Christi Bay. It was at Abilene Christian College she met Jack Davidson. Their sixty-four year marriage began in 1949. They raised their daughters Bonnie (Ensor) and Suzanne (Christenson) near Three Rivers, Texas, where they lived for twenty-five years. When they lost their land to Choke Canyon Reservoir, their relocation search led them to Hamilton County. Whether in college, Live Oak County, or Hamilton County, Sue never turned down the chance to volunteer or serve where needed. She was a supportive and loving wife, mother, grandmother and servant of God. Each chapter of her life brought her lifetime friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack; sister, Mary Margaret Fullerton; and son-in-law, Dennis Ensor. She is survived by daughters Bonnie Ensor, Suzanne Christenson and husband Dale; grandchildren Jeff Ensor and wife Sara, Jarod Ensor, Lauryn Carr and husband Joe, Jonathan Diaz and wife Paige; great-grandchildren Aubrey and Emma Ensor, Trapper Ensor, Lucy and Levi Carr, and Monroe, Adelaide and Hazel Diaz. Memorial contributions may be made to Foster’s Home for Children, Stephenville.

She was a good friend to my Mother and I will remember that. Her elder mentorship to Hamilton will always be part of it's culture.
