Vernon & Dollie Bracewell Jr.

Vernon Lee Bracewell Jr. passed away October 5, 2023 in Hamilton, Tx. Dollie Charlene Montgomery Bracewell passed away December 21, 2022 in Hamilton, Tx. They were married April 17, 1952. They moved around with his career in the USAF. After his retirement in 1970, they moved to Austin, Tx. Vernon retired from Civil Service and Dollie retired from the US Postal Service on the same day, April 3, 1992. Shortly after, they moved to Hamilton, Tx. Vernon was active with the Masonic Lodge for 66 years. Dollie became an active member of the Eastern Star after moving to Hamilton. Vernon and Dollie are preceded in death by their daughter Betsy in 1954. They are survived by their daughter Cynthia Pass, granddaughter Rebecca Mills and two great grandsons Logan Pass and Evan Mills. Also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 13, 2023 1:00 pm at the First Baptist Church, 200 S. Bell St, Hamilton, Tx. with Pastor Drew Dabbs officiating. Graveside services will be held for family at a later date.
