

Wade Nelson Caraway, 82 was called into eternal peace surrounded by loved ones on September 11, 2015. Wade was born on December 8, 1932 in Energy, Texas to Beverly Ofer Caraway and Juanita Lee Jones Caraway.
Wade spent his young life in Energy before moving to Hamilton in 1945. He graduated from Hamilton High School in 1949 and in March of 1950, he began working at Alexander Moulding Mill. In 1953 he joined the United States Army where he served as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne in Ft. Bragg, North Carolina.
Following his service in the military, he returned to Hamilton and continued his work at Alexander Moulding Mill. Wade, along with his brother Dale, played an integral role in the building of the company.
He began as a general laborer and as the company grew, he became a foreman overseeing the daily operations of the successful company. After 50 years of employment, he retired in June of 2000 but continued to hold his position on the board of directors.
Wade also had a passion for farming and ranching which brought him great joy. He was a avid woodworker, carpenter, and loved working on his various inventions. He was a member of First Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents, a sister Rita Elliott, and nieces JoAnne Curb and Judy Adcock, and great-nephew Jason Wade Kuklies, Blake Nelson Goerdel and Justin Wade Elliott.
He is survived by his brother Dale Caraway and wife, Barbara, of Hamilton; nephews Donnie Elliott and wife, Cindy, of Arlington and Brent Caraway of Shallowater; nieces Jane Glaser and husband, Richard of Buckholtz and Beverly Rohde and husband Brett, of Hamilton; Great-nieces Mischelle Bottlinger, Jennifer Hodges, Stacy Lowery, Tracy Trout, and Meghan Wagner; and great-nephews Kevin Kuklies, Trent Kuklies, Ryan Elliott, Steven Adcock, and Donny Webb. 22 great great nieces and nephews, and 1 great-great- great nephew.
In addition to his family, Wade had wonderful caregivers, Jo Jones, Gayla Garner, and Dana Webb, who also loved him and will miss him.
