Born December 10,1924 in Harrisburg, he was the son of the late Arthur and Katie (Metzger) Brady; and preceded in death by his wife, Doris R. Brady; and daughter-in-law, Tina Brady.
Surviving is his daughter, Tracey Beachler and Jim; two sons Edward S. Brady Jr., and Rande Brady and Julie; three grandsons, Jason, Jordan and Shane; three granddaughters, Ashley, Erin and Rebecca; and several great-grandchildren.
Edward was a retired electrician from Conrail and also retired as a self-employed electrician.
He was a WWII Army Sergeant who served in Battery C of the 276th Armed Field Artillery Battalion as the head gunner in an M7 tank in Europe. He earned the American Campaign Medal, the EAME Theater Service Medal with 4 Bronze Stars, the Victory Medal and Good Conduct Medal.
He was a lifetime member of the VFW and the West Hanover Fire Company, a longtime member of the Lions Club, a member of Charlton United Methodist Church and associated with many other groups.
He always enjoyed hunting, gardening and collecting Jim Beam Decanters. He was an avid traveler and has been to all 50 states and many countries.
Edward donated his body to humanity gifts for the study of medical science. He was a firm believer in helping others.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 Wednesday, July 29,2026 in the Charlton United Methodist Church, 5920 Jonestown Rd., Harrisburg. A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the church.
