Born November 12, 1947 in Thanh Hoa, Vietnam; he was the son of the late Hien Van Nguyen and Nhat Thi Nguyen.
Surviving are three sisters, Hien Nguyen, Ngoan Nguyen and Xuan Nguyen; three brothers, Hoc Nguyen, Canh Nguyen and Binh Nguyen; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Father Hoa retired from the Catholic Diocese of Harrisburg with 48 years of service, serving St Paul’s in Annville, St. Joseph and St. Patrick’s both in York and Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament in Harrisburg.
A viewing will be from 6:00 PM Friday, March 1, 2024 followed by a Vigil Service at 7:00 PM in St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church, 4000 Derry St., Harrisburg. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM Saturday, March 2, 2024 at St. Margaret Mary Alacoque Catholic Church, 2800 Paxton Church Rd., Harrisburg. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery.
