Larry Sadler was a friend , my manager , my mentor , my sound engineer , and he taught me about the music business.
I knew him since 1983 .
Through different bands and clubs .
Larry , you will be greatly missed.

Larry was my uncle we grew up together after we became adults we lost touch. About 10 years ago we got back in touch we had some long talks and it was great I’ll miss those talks. My thoughts and prayers go out to his son and grandchildren God Bless you all

Larry... You were one of a kind, a true gentleman, an amazing talent. Your passing leaves a huge hole in the hearts of many - within the music scene and out. You were loved by many and will be greatly missed. I know we've said 'rest easy,' but when you have a pair of drum sticks in your hands, it seems more appropriate to say 'rock on!' It was a pleasure to know you and honor to call you friend.

The passing of 
Larry Laz Sadler has been very heartbreaking for my immediate family ! I met Larry in my early 20's through my boyfriend at the time...we became good friends when I started working at the Metron...music was his passion and it's what he was about...
Larry ended up marrying my best friend Barb and they were married many many years until several years ago...things change...it was sad ...I was in their wedding and Barb was my Matron of honor at mine...they were there for my breakup 
and I was there for 
Barb through theirs.
Barb was always very close with my daughters and then  as each of my son's came along Barb and Larry stepped right in to help me with babysitting while I worked at the Metron/ Vault....

They spent every Christmas Eve with us..  all my kids graduations,cook outs, Casey's wedding and definitely our yearly Dover Downs Nascar race...they knew / know most of my nieces and Nephew's...and my Sister Tammy

When Derek became a musician and played his first CD release show at Gullifty's as a full band and all members under 19...Larry and Steve Hunt treated it like a concert...full blown light show from Larry and an amazing sound from Steve as Barb and I set-up and worked the merch area and so it began...
the guys were so excited (larry and Steve...!!!!!) And so was Observe the 93rd!!!

But we knew Larry outside of the music industry...outside of the party guy...
He was our friend who felt like family...the funny guy my kids cracked up at.... everything that came out of his mouth was hysterical to them. 
I'm glad they knew him on a different level ...

“Uncle Larry” was a big part of our Metron family.  He was gifted with many talents and shared them along with his friendship.  
Rest in peace, Larry.  Rock on!

I am so heartbroken to hear of Larry’s  passing. He was  just such a cool guy and such a great and strong man to my sister, Jennifer. I know he is in a better place where there’s no more pain and sorrow. My deepest condolences to your family as well. They are all in my prayers and thoughts. 
Jennifer- please reach out to your family in Virginia we are absolutely here for you and love you so much!  Rest in peace Larry. Sending prayers, love and hugs from VA.

I was 16 and attending Central Dauphin High School.  The Legends played a dance at our school. My friends and I were just starting a band and were so excited to see the Legends. I watched Larry set up. He nailed his bass drum to the floor, then chained his bass drum pedal to the bass drum. We just thought that was so cool. But then he did something I’ll never forget. They opened with WE’RE AN AMERICAN BAND by Grand Funk Railroad. 
It opens with a drum intro via a cowbell. Larry had it mounted to his bass drum. On his third hit the cowbell split in two right down the middle! No pun intended-he was a legend to us from that day on. At the break he talked to us starry eyed teenagers. Thank you Larry for being one of the best drummers I’ve ever seen and remaining one of the most humble people I ever met.

Larry and I went way back to the 60s ! I remember watching the Legends with Dan , Joe and of course Larry on drums. And realized while watching them that I was destined to be in the music industry on some capacity.  He was an incredible percussionist with a flawless sense of timing, a great friend with a heart of gold and a genuine great person who was always there for the people that loved him and that he loved . I have so many great and memorable tales of Goose ( his side name) that it would take up to many pages and pages of space to mention them. I can say that I was truly blessed to know such an incredible human being and I'm beyond  saddened by his passing. The world was a far better place with Larry in it . And it lost one of its finest inhabitants with his passing . Love you brother and thanks you for blessing me with your friendship. You will be missed more then I can imagine . Heaven just got one hell of a drummer !

Jennifer - I am so very sorry to hear of Larry's passing.  My prayers have been going up for quite a while for you and for Larry.  I am surely now praying for you - for God's comfort and peace and also strength and understanding.  Grief is a hard thing - some days are OK, others are just a miserable wreck.

I can't remember when I met Larry. It was that long ago. Always smiling, always a big hug when we saw each other. I used to bring him up on stage with my band and the power that came out of his little body was unbelievable. Once his face shaped itself into the Larry Leer, the juggernaut started rolling. He was funny, he was caring, he was forgetful, he was loyal. My life is better off for having known him.
