Born on August 8, 1949, in Harrisburg, he was the son of the late Marcus S. Och Jr. and Mary M. (Spanitz) Och.
Marcus graduated from Bishop McDevitt High School in 1967, where he played football and baseball. He was a dedicated fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Notre Dame University.
Marcus was a warehouse manager for the PA Department of Revenue before retiring. He was a long-time parishioner of the Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in Harrisburg.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 57 years, Monica L. (Dodaro) Och; sons, Marcus S. Och IV and his wife Michele, and Christopher A. Och; sisters, Marcia Burns and Sueanne Giarretta; and numerous nieces and nephews. Marcus was preceded in death by his parents.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, September 22nd, 2026, at Neill Funeral Home, 3501 Derry St., Harrisburg, where friends may visit from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
Marcus will be remembered for his integrity, dedication, and love for his family and community.
