Russell Lee Gross

Russell Lee Gross, 84, of Harrisburg, PA passed away peacefully at home on Saturday August 08, 2026 surrounded by his loved ones.

Born on July 07, 1942 in East Palestine, OH, Russ was the beloved son of Pauline and Gilbert Gross. Throughout his life, Russ touched the hearts, cars and street rods of countless people with his kindness, generosity, humor and strength.

Russ was a devoted husband to Barb and treasured the time spent with family and friends. He especially enjoyed working on and building Street Rods, doing upholstery, going to the Casino and adding flames anywhere he could. Those who knew Russ will remember him for his incredible talents and willingness to share his vast knowledge with anyone willing to listen and learn.

Russ is survived by his wife of 46 years, Barbara Gross, his daughters Cara Crum and Lorie Motter, his stepdaughter and son in law Kristan and Doug Ressler, grandchildren Andrew Lyons, Lakota Crum, Brad Updegraph, Victoria Robinson, 3 great grandchildren, and many loving relatives and friends.

Russ was preceded in death by his parents Pauline and Gilbert and his brother Wayne.

Although Russ is no longer with us, his love and memory will remain in the hearts of all who knew him. His legacy will live on through the people he loved, the lives he touched, and the memories we will carry with us always.

A celebration of life Service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, August 24, 2026 at the Neill Funeral Home, 3501 Derry St., Harrisburg. A visitation will be from 9:00 AM Monday until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Rest peacefully, Russ. You were deeply loved, you will be profoundly missed, and you will never be forgotten.
