Gary Robert Peters

Gary was born in Norfolk, Nebraska to Robert and Mildred Peters and moved to California in 1944. He graduated from Colton High School in 1957. Gary served two years in the U.S. Army with an honorable discharge.

Kenneth Nolte was his step-father for 25 years until his passing in 1975. He is survived by his wife, Charlene Peters. They were married for 46 years and eight months. They had four children: Scott (deceased), Shane (Ana), Shalon (Loni), and Seth (Christine). They have ten grandchildren: Lacey, Dilan, Shaylee, Shyanne, Brock, Madyson, Isabelle, Isaac, Jaxson and Jayden. Gary loved his antique car, but how he loved his dog “Rex.” They were inseparable. He loved to brag at work about all the sports his kids were involved in. Next, he loved bragging about his grandchildren.

Gary and Charlene attended the same high school and knew each other since he was eight and Charlene was five. Many years later they got together and were married December 18, 1970. Gary worked 30 years at Stater Bros. Market. He was such a hard worker and sometimes worked six days a week. Gary is also survived by his sister Sharon (David) Aitken and sister Linda (Kenny) Wood. Preceded in death was his sweet and wonderful mother, Mildred, and sister, Jeanette.

Gary, you will be greatly missed by your wife, family and friends. What a wonderful life we had together. So, so many memories.
