

John (Jack) Bartley Hamor Jr, 82, of Hesperia, California, passed away peacefully at home on September 12, 2023. He was a man always ready to help anyone in need and was deeply loved by his family and friends.
Jack was a devoted husband to his wife Sherry and a patient and wise father to his children, John and Brenda. He was a dedicated follower of Jesus Christ and served his Lord in his church as a deacon and in the choir. Jack found joy in working on and restoring cars, trucks, boats, and motorcycles in his workshop. He loved spending time with his loved ones, playing dominoes, cards, and watching football.
Born on May 28, 1941, Jack attended Pico Rivera Elementary for his primary education and later graduated from Rancho Alamitos High School. He furthered his education at Long Beach State.
Jack proudly served in the U.S. Army from June 24, 1961, to April 9, 1967. His military associations were a significant part of his life, and he served his country with honor. Following his military service, Jack had a successful career. He was an employee of the family-owned Chrome Nickel Plating company and later
became the owner of Hydro Tech, a water truck fabricator.
Jack worshipped at Living Hope Church, where he found solace and strength in his faith. His love for Jesus was evident in his daily life and interactions with others. In his free time, Jack enjoyed various hobbies, including hunting, fishing, boating, scuba diving, bowling, vehicle restoration and repair, and even owned quarter horses for racing. He was also an active member of the church choir, using his musical talents to worship and inspire others.
A memorial service to celebrate Jack’s life will be held at Living Hope Church (First Baptist of Hesperia) located at 9280 Maple Ave, Hesperia, CA 92345, on Thursday, September 21, 2023, at 10 am. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that contributions be made to Living Hope Church in Hesperia, California, in Jack’s memory.
Jack will be deeply missed by his wife, Sherry; his daughter, Brenda Atkinson; his grandson, Roman Toscano, and all those who had the privilege of knowing him. He leaves behind cherished memories and a legacy of love and kindness. Please join us in honoring Jack’s life and paying tribute to his remarkable
