The world lost a very special man in Larry “Scott" Davis, who died peacefully in his home in California at age 84 Thursday September 21, 2023. An honorable and godly man, Scott treated all fairly and with respect. His major career was as a federal air traffic controller. Known as a great storyteller he saw the world through humor, friends and family, and a love of the natural wilderness. He enjoyed hunting and wildlife photography.
Scott is survived by his wife of 57 years, Lois Davis, his son Franklin Davis, and his daughter Traci Heath. He was preceded in death by his daughter Kelly Clayton who, with her husband Frank Clayton, had blessed him with grandchildren Karli and Jensen Clayton. His daughter Traci also gave him two grandchildren, Leslie Chumbley and David Koran, with three great grandchildren
Scott is also survived by his step-sister Patricia Carter Kesler and her three children Christine Beall, Rachael Palm, and William Kesler and their families.
In honor of his wishes Scott will be cremated and will eventually become part of the natural environment that was so dear to him.
