Sherie Lynn Safford

May 13, 1964 – November 16, 2016

Sherie L. Safford, 52, of Hesperia, California, went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 16, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 22nd at Kern Hesperia Mortuary in Hesperia.

Sherie was born in Riverside, California to Jon and Susan (Maley) Newcomb on May 13, 1964. She graduated from Corona Senior High School in Corona, California. She married the love of her life, Kenneth Safford, on November 20, 1982. The couple would have celebrated their 34th wedding anniversary this Sunday.

Sherie was a wife and mother first. Her focus was always on her husband, children, and grandchildren. Her kind, gentle heart kept her loving her own children and all the other “adopted” children who referred to Sherie as “mom”. She will truly be missed by everyone who knew her and were blessed to be touched by her kind and loving soul.

Sherie is survived by her husband Kenneth; her daughter Constance (Will Davis) Safford of San Bernardino, California; daughter Victoria (Kathin) Huizar of Apple Valley, California; son Fredrick Safford of Marietta, Georgia; father Jon Newcomb of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho; sister Tricia (Robert) Artis of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho; mother-in-law Patricia Safford of California City, California; sisters-in-law Michele (Hank) Aripez of Hesperia, California; Carol Safford of Huntington Beach, California; Audrey (Matt) Slavin of Riverside, California; and two grandchildren, Leiluna and Evelyn Huizar , as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous good friends.

Sherie was preceded in death by her mother Susan, father-in-law Fredrick Safford and Sister-in-law Cynthia Safford.
