Walter Michael Perez

Walter Michael Perez, age 79, of Victorville, California, passed away peacefully at his home on July 28th, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on June 26th, 1947, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Walter was the beloved son of Melquaide and Candelaria Perez. He moved to California at the age of six, growing up in Victorville and graduating from Victor Valley High School. Walter went on to build a dedicated career as a heavy equipment operator at the Southwest Cement Plant, where he was highly respected for his hard work, strength, and unwavering reliability.

A strong and protective husband and father, Walter was deeply devoted to his family and always provided well for them. He knew how to relax and enjoy the simple pleasures of life, whether he was sharing a drink, listening to his favorite oldies music, or settling in to watch classic black-and-white television shows like The Andy Griffith Show, Leave it to Beaver, and Bonanza.

Walter is survived by his beloved wife, Alicia Perez; his three children, Michelle Arredondo, Michael Perez, and Yvette Perez; his three grandchildren, Valentina Stearns, Nikkos Arredondo, and Anthony Montoya; and his four great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind his siblings, Lilly Hallows, Evaristo Perez, Tommy Perez, and Emily Perez. He was preceded in death by his parents, Melquaide and Candelaria Perez, and his brother, Alex Perez.

Family and friends are invited to honor Walter's life on Friday, August 14th, 2026. A visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., officiated by Deacon Santos. Both services will take place at Funeraria del Angel, 16120 Main St., Hesperia, CA 92345.

Burial services will follow at 3:30 p.m. at Desert View Memorial Park, located at 14478 Amargosa Road, Victorville, CA 92392. A reception to celebrate Walter’s life will be held back at Funeraria del Angel in Hesperia immediately following the interment.
